Thomas' photos encapsulate 55 years of Baltimore's history in black and white. From Thomas D'Alsandro's inauguration to President Kennedy's arrival in Baltimore. From the sand lot at the old Scarlett Seed Building to Mickey Mantle in Roma's each photo tells a story not only of Baltimore but of the man behind the camera.

Thomas C. Scilipoti was born and raised in Little Italy and now lives in Upper Fells Point. He first started taking pictures at the age of 17 after his parents bought him his first camera. Since then he has been carrying a camera everywhere patiently waiting for that perfect shot.

When Tom was a boy he and his friends would swim in the harbor by the old Morgue. First they would have to clear away all the dirt and debris that would have accumulated overnight with the tide coming in. Today that area is Baltimore’s famous waterfront where people travel to from all over the world.

Baltimore has experienced much change and growth and through Tom's photos you too can experience those changes. For a limited time he will be selling them through this website. Not all of Thomas' work will appear online at one time.
