Whether it was JFK visiting Patterson Park in 1962, Rocky Marciano and the NY Yankees hanging out in Little Italy in the 1950s, or fans climbing the fence at the last out of the ’66 World Series, Tom Scilipoti was there. Alongside the celebrities, he captured everyday scenes: duck hunters on the Bay, street pavers laying cobblestone in Fells Point and dockhands unloading bananas at the Inner Harbor. Scilipoti’s images form an extraordinary portrait of Baltimore as one of Baltimore city’s great chroniclers.
